Adapted from the novel of the same name by Jia-Huei Ke, Tabloid is a fascinating dive into the world of media in Taiwan. When her young colleague dies at a posh party where drugs and alcohol are freely available, Liu Zhi-jun, a journalist for a tabloid newspaper, begins to investigate this tragic episode, determined to seek justice for her friend and restore her newspaper's reputation. Irrevocably determined to uncover the truth, she delves deeper and deeper into the intricacies of the entertainment industry, at her own risk. Part police investigation, part journalistic inquiry, the series denounces the abusive behavior of Taiwanese high society, particularly with regard to domestic violence against women.
