DALLAS BUYERS CLUB X JACKIE BROWN

Fernando leads a dream life: he is young, handsome, his job takes him all over the world, he goes from party to party and lover to lover... Until a terrible diagnosis brings his carefree life to an abrupt halt.

Fernando's life, punctuated by parties, lovers, and travel, is shattered when he learns he has AIDS, a disease that was little understood at the time and which, despite appearances, was wreaking havoc across all social classes. Although no treatment had yet been authorized in Brazil, Fernando was determined to obtain the drugs that were proving effective in the United States. His job as a flight attendant allowed him to obtain them easily, but he was then faced with a difficult choice: how much risk was he willing to take to help as many people as possible? A serious and sensitive account of a period from which it is more important than ever, in the post-pandemic world, to learn lessons.
