The Mixtape installation explores the unique sound universe of music-loving filmmaker from Quebec Jean-Marc Vallée, whose creative process is entirely guided by music. An intimate immersion into the heart of his work.

Quebec director Jean-Marc Vallée has established music as a principal element of his cinema, which he sees as a constant search for emotion. For him, music is a powerful means of expression, not only in his films, but also with his collaborators and friends, with whom he shares mixtapes or musical compilations. The innovative, immersive Mixtape installation invites visitors to dive into sound bubbles made up of testimonials from those who have shared with him this total bond with music, whose interwoven voices sketch a portrait of a filmmaker and a body of work to (re)discover.
