COOL WORLD X UNDER THE SKIN
Our hearts go BOOM! for this punkish (and visually stunning) tale of identity crisis and social malaise, which transcends the VR medium to better imprint itself on our retinas.
Our hearts go BOOM! for this punkish (and visually stunning) tale of identity crisis and social malaise, which transcends the VR medium to better imprint itself on our retinas.
Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel are a wildly modern film duo, navigating the border between long-form narratives and video games. As if to better capture the malaise of the younger generation, in its digital interconnection with the world, The Exploding Girl VR is the adaptation of a short film that already used these same 3D tools and software. Moving from flat-screen to headset gives the film a new dimension, in a renewed dialogue about the impact of images. Always with the same ferocity on screen, the virtual reality version of this story will literally jump out at you, in a punkish desire to transcend the medium to better imprint its story on our minds.
