One night, Holly meets seven-year-old Arabella in a parking lot. She is convinced that Arabella is a younger version of herself and decides to run away with the child. A joyful journey!
Having already explored young people's desire for freedom in her first film, director and screenwriter Carolina Cavalli continues her cinematic journey with a gently strange road movie. Young Arabella doesn't want to stay with her father –played by Chris Pine– she'd rather go to her favorite fast-food restaurant. As fate would have it, she meets Holly, a young woman disappointed with life, who thinks she sees her younger self in Arabella. She takes her along, hoping to make amends for her past mistakes, while Arabella sees it as an opportunity to escape. With her mastery of dry humor, the director crafts a surprising journey into the absurd, carried by the chemistry between Benedetta Porcaroli and the brilliant Lucrezia Guglielmino in her first role.
